COMMON QUESTIONS

YOU MIGHT BE THINKING:

A Group is a small community where life change occurs through building authentic relationships and studying God's word. We strive to make our Groups a safe place where you feel welcomed and accepted wherever you are in your life journey.

Most of our Groups have a host family that invites the Group to meet in their home. We know going to a stranger's house can be intimidating, so we will try to find a time where you can meet the group leader of the Group you are joining.

We believe Groups are where the church truly grows and comes alive. Sunday mornings are an important time of worship and learning, but meaningful fellowship happens during the week as we go through life's struggles together. The goal of each group is to challenge each other and support each other when life gets difficult.

Groups meet in informal home settings where they can build relationships with each other, have a deeper discussion on the week's sermon, challenge each other, and pray and support each other as they go through life's ups and downs. You will NOT need to prepare for this meeting with any reading or studying.

We offer several Groups that meet in different locations, days, and times. We will you help you find a Group that will be the best fit for you!

Many of the Groups do have a childcare option. If this is a need for you, simply let us know as we help you find a Group that will work for you and your family.

A WORD FROM PASTOR JIM

I want to take a moment and give my push for the importance of getting connected in a Small Group. Some of the greatest impacts in my life took place in my involvement in Small Groups through the years. My first experience of true Biblical community took place as a college student when I was invited to be a part of a small group Bible study. It was incredible to experience such genuine honesty, love, encouragement, and to be challenged to live out my new found faith in Christ. This group became my family, the ones I could call at any time to help me work through the challenges in my life, as well as, to encourage me to pursue Jesus with everything I've got.

Nearly 50 times in the New Testament we are commanded, not suggested, but commanded to "one another". Being a follower of Jesus Christ means that we embrace the teaching of God's Word and apply it to our lives. My goal is not to guilt or pressure you into anything. My goal is to point you to Jesus and to cheer you on to be a fully devoted follower of Him in every way. If Jesus is truly the Lord of our lives, then let's show the world by being the church that God intends for us to be. We do this through our love for one another demonstrated in our commitment to Biblical community.
